What was stolen: Her ability to refuse a command. However, only commands, she is perfectly free to refuse requests.
Abilities: Nelly has no special abilities; however her retractable claws are worth noting. She also carries a short knife with her, but he has no skill with it and is reluctant to use it.
Strengths:
Sensitive ears, able to hear over long distances and listen in on faraway conversations.

Weaknesses:
When on two legs, as she is most of the time she is extremely clumsy and prone to falling over. Normally this could be averted by walking on fours, but she was always taught to ‘stand tall’ and stay on two as often as possible. Therefore out of habit she is on two legs most often.
This same stubbornness that has her stand on two legs also hurts her bones. Her spine is weakened by the constant standing and her back easily can be thrown out.

Personality:
Nelly is a rather shy, but sarcastic individual. She keeps to herself and likes to do things ‘on her own’. Most of the time this means she keeps herself excluded in a group of people she’s not familiar with. However, she is also rather witty and quick to make a joke, especially around those she considers friends.
Her shyness is a major problem when she works on her stories. She also is rather submissive naturally and it takes a lot of self pumping up for her to be able to approach people she needs to talk to.
She dislikes fighting, and considers herself a pacifist.

History:
Nelly was raised on a small farm out in the country. From a young age she enjoyed writing essays, which was encouraged by her loving parents. One day she sent in a short paper on quad speciesism to the local city paper for a contest. The head editor loved the paper so much she was hired on the spot, and so she set out to begin her new career as a journalist.
