Hunting had always been fairly easy for the brown dog. Whatever reason dogs ignored him seemed to thankfully extend to most animals of prey. So when he slipped into the house and saw a beautiful chicken perching just within his reach, he knew it would be an easy kill. He came up behind it, enclosing his jaws around the bird’s neck, holding firmly. Suddenly aware of the brown dog, the chicken squawked angrily, thrashing its talons about wildly, but Quill held tight, waiting patiently for the bird to die.
Cradling the catch in his teeth, the terrier trotted back out the door. However, after taking one look at his horrified companion he dropped the bird and rushed forward.
“W-what, w-hat!” He asked eyes wide with concern. Circling around he grabbed the bird and dropped it by the wolf-dog’s feet, staring at Stoic questioningly.
Quill wasn’t sure why he did it, but he leaned forward and lightly licked the wolf-dog’s face. Instantly feeling weird he drew back, lowering his head submissively. He wasn't sure what he wanted, he just knew we was royally screwing it up.
